After lunch in Marree we decided to revisit Farina. The ruins here are slowly, but surely being restored and preserved by a large group of volunteers. Progress is slow but their enthusiasm is big.
There is an underground bakery that has been restored and for 6 weeks earlier this year volunteer bakers actually baked bread here and were making up to $1000 a day!
Apparently the last resident of Farina left about 1964.
